BRAZILIAN AGRICULTURER KICKS OFF 2025 WITH STRONG EXPORTS, DIVERSE SECTORS SHOW SIGNIFICANT GROWTH

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock reported USD 10.999 billion in agriculture exports in January 2025, 43.7% of Brazil’s total sales. Coffee, cellulose, cattle, orange juice, tobacco, and cocoa exports led the performance due to rising global prices. Beef (18.9%), forest products (13.8%), coffee (13.2%), soybean complex (10.1%), sugar and alcohol (10%), cereals, flour and flour-based products (9.1%), and sugar and alcohol (10%) accounted for over 75% of exports. Cellulose, green coffee, cotton, and pork sales set records this month. Other industries exported USD 2.7 billion, a 32.5% increase from January 2024, showing Brazil’s agricultural industry’s strength and diversification.
