BRAZIL TRADE BALANCE SURPLUS REACH USD 1.4 BILLION IN JULY SECOND WEEK

In the second week of July, Brazil’s trade balance showed a surplus of $1.428 billion, with exports at $6.527 billion and imports at $5.099 billion. For the month, exports totaled $13.795 billion, and imports were $10 billion, resulting in a $3.792 billion surplus. Year-to-date, exports reached $181.404 billion, and imports were $135.302 billion, with a $46.102 billion surplus. July’s daily export averages increased by 2.4%, and imports by 4.4% compared to July 2023. Notable sector growths included a 6.9% rise in the Extractive Industry, led by iron ore and precious metals, and a 60.6% increase in unroasted coffee in Agriculture.
