BRAZIL SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH CHINA TO BOOST ETHANOL EXPORTS

Brazil and China’s National Energy Administration signed a memorandum to boost Brazilian ethanol exports and collaborate on energy innovation. A bilateral working group will develop technologies for both first- and second-generation ethanol, supporting its use in various engine types. The agreement also promotes regulatory alignment, joint investments, and training. It includes advanced fuel applications like Sustainable Aviation Fuel, marine fuel alternatives, and bioplastics. Additionally, Brazil’s Energy Minister signed a second deal focused on joint development in electricity transmission, nuclear energy, renewables, off-grid systems, and energy data, all aligned with the energy transition.
