BRAZIL SET TO REACH RECORD SOYBEAN OUTPUT AND EXPORTS IN 2026

Abiove’s new projections for 2026 point to record performance in Brazil’s soybean complex, with production expected to reach 177.7 million tonnes and crushing 60.5 million tonnes, resulting in 46.6 million tonnes of meal and 12.5 million tonnes of oil. Exports should remain strong, with 111 million tonnes of soybeans, 24.6 million tonnes of meal and 1.2 million tonnes of oil — a 20% increase for oil. Imports stay modest. Abiove’s Daniel Furlan Amaral highlights the sector’s strong capacity to meet global demand, especially from China. In 2025, production hit 172.1 million tonnes and crushing 58.5 million, while year-to-date processing grew 5.1% despite a September slowdown.
