BRAZIL SET TO PROCESS RECORD 61 MLN TONNES OF SOYBEANS IN 2026, ABIOVE SAYS

Brazil’s soybean crushing is set to reach a record 61 million tonnes in 2026, according to Abiove, driven by strong demand for byproducts and higher processing margins. Soybean meal output is forecast at 47 million tonnes and soybean oil at 12.25 million tonnes, both posting solid year-on-year growth, supported by Brazil’s biodiesel mandate and rising feed demand. Abiove also raised its soybean export forecast to 111.5 million tonnes, though some analysts expect slower shipments later in the year due to U.S. competition. Higher prices are projected to lift export revenues of the soybean complex to $57.28 billion in 2026, despite softer meal prices. Ending stocks are expected to rise sharply to 9.2 million tonnes, reflecting increased production and processing capacity.
