BRAZIL HARVESTED 91.6% OF SUMMER CORN FOR THE 2023/24 HARVEST; 28% SAFRINHA HARVESTED, SAYS CONAB

As of June 23, the Brazilian summer 2023/24 corn harvest reached 91.6% of the sown area, according to Conab. This marks a 3.5 percentage point increase from last week but is 2.2 percentage points behind the same period last year. Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, and Santa Catarina have completed their harvests. Rio Grande do Sul has harvested 97%, Bahia 90%, Piauí 76%, and Maranhão 50%. The second harvest of corn reached 28%, up 14.9 percentage points from last week and 17 points from last year. Mato Grosso leads with 40% harvested, followed by Paraná at 29%, Tocantins at 25%, and both Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul at 12%.
