BRAZIL EXPORTS 3.2 MILLION TONS OF SUGAR IN JUNE, AN INCREASE OF 11.7%

In the 2024/25 harvest, Brazil’s sugar exports continue to rise. In June, 3.2 million tons were shipped, a 13.9% increase from May and 11.7% annually. Despite a 3.1% annual price drop to $482.52/ton, revenue grew 8.3% to $1.54 billion. Key destinations included Indonesia, China, UAE, India, and Egypt. Year-to-date revenue reached $8.66 billion, up 62.8%, with 16.76 million tons exported, a 49.1% increase. Brazil exported 2.75 million tons of raw sugar in June, generating $1.3 billion, and 448.42 thousand tons of refined sugar, generating $249.55 million, both showing significant increases.
