BRAZIL BREAKS RECORD FOR OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION IN OCTOBER, WITH 5.248 MILLION BOED.

Brazil set a new record for oil and natural gas production in October, reaching 5.248 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), according to preliminary data from the ANP, surpassing the previous high of 5.16 million boed in July. Output rose 2.7% compared to September, driven mainly by oil production, which reached 4.024 million barrels per day, a 2.9% increase. Natural gas production also grew 2.2%, totaling 194.5 million cubic meters per day. The pre-salt region strengthened its dominance, accounting for 81.42% of total production—4.273 million boed—up 3.2% from the previous month. Within this segment, oil output reached 3.306 million bpd, a 3.11% rise, while natural gas production hit 153.6 million m³/d, up 3.6%.
