Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, and French government representatives signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen relations in the port and airport sectors. The partnership aims at knowledge exchange, investments, and best practices in management and sustainability. The minister highlighted the growing French interest in Brazil, citing investments like CMA-CGM’s €2.5 billion in the sector. The first Brazilian waterway concession process was also discussed, expected to significantly boost cargo movement. The Port of Havre, a model in logistics efficiency and sustainability, will guide improvements in Brazilian ports’ competitiveness. The meeting also addressed sector innovations and transport decarbonization.
