BIOFUELS SHOULD GENERATE R$ 1 TRILLION

According to Carlos Cogo, Managing Partner of Consulting at Cogo Inteligência em Agronegócio, based on data from the Energy Research Company (EPE), linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), the biofuels sector in Brazil is expected to generate an impressive R$1 trillion by 2034. This amount includes R$99.8 billion in direct investments and R$924.4 billion in operating costs, with positive impacts especially for the sugarcane, corn and soybean chains. Ethanol production will be the highlight, accounting for 60% of the planned investments. The actions will include the construction of new plants, the modernization of existing plants and the creation of new sugarcane fields.
