ARCO NORTE’S LEADING AGRIBUSINNES HUB TEGRAM SHIPS 13.5 MILLION TONNES OF GRAINS IN 2025

The TEGRAM-Itaqui Consortium announced the handling of 13.5 million tonnes of grains through the Maranhão Grain Terminal (TEGRAM) in 2025, shipped aboard 202 vessels that departed from the Port of Itaqui (São Luís, Maranhão) to the main global markets for Brazilian agribusiness, especially Asia and Europe. During the year, 11.7 million tonnes of soybeans and 1.8 million tonnes of corn were exported through a robust infrastructure that positions the terminal as the main logistics hub for agribusiness in the Arco Norte region, serving in particular the states of MAPITO (Maranhão, Piauí and Tocantins) as well as areas of northeastern Mato Grosso and Bahia. With the volume handled this year, TEGRAM is strategically positioned to serve the record grain harvest expected for the 2025/26 season, which is projected to reach 354.8 million tonnes.
