President Anderson Pomini highlighted that by July the port had handled 2.3 million tonnes, with projections to surpass the past three years’ volumes. Key achievements include resumed dredging with certified operational draughts, infrastructure investments exceeding R$844 million, and the planned removal of the century-old Pallas shipwreck (R$68 million) by mid-2026. Other projects include breakwater reconfiguration, VTMIS vessel monitoring (R$65 million), energy upgrades (R$20 million), customs area expansion, real-time road monitoring, SmartPort security (R$30 million), and a R$300 million cruise terminal expected in 2026. Financial performance is strong, with ISS tax collections of R$2.4 million. APS also invests in vocational training for youth, cultural and sports sponsorships (~R$280,000), signaling a renewed cycle of growth, competitiveness, and innovation for Itajaí.
