APM Terminals Suape has moved on to the next step of its expansion program, selecting Consag, HTB, and Piatec to develop Latin America’s first fully electric terminal. Consag will manage the construction of the container yard. Meanwhile, a consortium of HTB and Piatec will construct the quay, the CFS warehouse, and the maintenance workshop buildings and renovate APM Terminals’ administrative headquarters. “This is a key milestone for APM Terminals Suape and for Brazil’s port sector,” said Daniel Rose, CEO of APM Terminals Suape and Pecém. “ APM Terminals Suape will be one of the most modern terminals in Brazil, and we expect operations to begin in the second half of 2026, making it the country’s first fully electrified container terminal.”
