On October 22, 2025, ANTAQ will hold its second round of port auctions at B3 in São Paulo. The highlight is Brazil’s first-ever concession for a waterway access channel, a BRL 1.2 billion project to deepen and widen the channel for the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina. The modifications include increasing the draft to 15.5 meters, enlarging the channel, evolution basin, and anchorage area, as well as dredging, rock removal, and signaling to accommodate larger ships. Additionally, the auction will include the RDJ07 offshore support terminal in the Port of Rio de Janeiro (BRL 99.4 million) and the Maceió Passenger Terminal in Alagoas (BRL 3.7 million), the latter involving parking installation.
