Through the third quarter of 2025, Brazil’s cumulative GDP grew 2.4% compared to 2024. Agriculture was the standout sector, surging 11.6%, while Industry and Services rose by 1.7% and 1.8%, respectively. In the third quarter alone, GDP increased by 0.1% over the previous quarter, with gains of 0.4% in agriculture, 0.8% in industry, and 0.1% in services. Year-over-year, GDP expanded 1.8%, driven largely by a 10.1% rise in agricultural output, boosted by higher production of corn, oranges, cotton, and wheat. Minister Carlos Fávaro credited this performance to supportive agricultural policies, credit access, and market liberalization. In the rolling four-quarter measure, GDP advanced 2.7%, with agriculture growing 9.6%. According to the IBGE, the strong results in farming and mining boosted the flow of commodities, benefiting the transportation and logistics sectors.
