ABIOVE UPDATES SOYBEAN COMPLEX PROJECTIONS FOR 2026

The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) projects record figures for the soybean complex in 2026, with production estimated at 178.5 million tons and crushing at 60.5 million tons. Exports are also expected to reach historical highs: 111 million tons of soybeans, 24.6 million tons of soybean meal, and 1 million tons of soybean oil. Although oil exports should drop 25.9%, imports are expected to rise slightly. Abiove highlights the sector’s competitiveness, its contribution to Brazil’s trade balance, and its growing role in protein and biofuel production. In 2025, soybean output reached 171.8 million tons, with strong crushing and export performance—109.5 million tons of soybeans and 23.6 million tons of meal exported so far.
