Brazil’s 2025 soybean harvest is now expected to be 170.9 million tons, 0.5% less than projected last month but still a record, thanks to improved productivity. Abiove also revised the 2024 crop upward to 154.39 million tons, leading to increased beginning and ending stocks for 2025. Export and processing estimates remain at record levels of 106.1 million and 57.5 million tons, respectively. While forecasts for soybean meal remained unchanged, soybean oil export estimates rose 27.3% to 1.4 million tons due to the government’s decision to keep the biodiesel blend at 14%, delaying a planned increase to 15% over food price concerns. Domestic soybean oil consumption in 2025 was revised downward by 3.8% to 10.1 million tons.
