PORT OF SANTOS HITS ALL-TIME CARGO VOLUME IN 2025

In 2025, the Port of Santos set a new annual record, moving 186.4 million tons of cargo, a 3.6% increase from 2024. This growth was driven by a 4.6% surge in exports (137.4 million tons), while imports held steady at 49 million tons. By FOB value, the port handled 29.6% of Brazil’s total trade flow, with China as its leading partner. Major exports included soybeans, sugar, corn, and cellulose; top imports were fertilizers, diesel, sulfur, and wheat. A 2.7% rise in ship calls reflected ongoing investments to expand the port’s infrastructure and logistics capacity.
