Brazil is preparing a strategy to expand exports in 2026, focusing on strengthening trade ties with Canada, Mexico, India, the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. According to data released by the ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services, Brazil’s exports totaled $348.7 billion in 2025, up 3.5% from $337 billion in 2024. Official projections point to export volumes ranging between $340 billion and $380 billion this year. Expanding trade with Mexico and India will be central to achieving that target, even amid a global environment marked by heightened geopolitical instability. Another pillar of the strategy involves advancing trade agréments, like between Mercosur and the European Union’s 27 member states, as well as the conclusion of free trade agreements with the United Arab Emirates and Canada.
