Porto Sudeste, located in Itaguaí, Rio de Janeiro state, ended 2025 with solid operational results and an expanded portfolio of social and environmental initiatives. In August, Porto Sudeste posted its highest monthly throughput since operations began, handling 3.3 million tonnes of iron ore. The milestone was followed by another major operation in November, when the port received the largest vessel ever to call at the terminal, used to load one million barrels of oil. Alongside operational performance, Porto Sudeste made progress on its ESG agenda. During COP30, the company was awarded the Diamond Sustainability Seal, a recognition granted by Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports for the full use of clean energy in its operations and for the set of socio-environmental practices implemented throughout the year.
