Brazilian fruit exports had their best October in a decade, reaching US$177.5 million in 2025, up 4.6% from last year, with 209,400 tonnes shipped and total exports from January to October already matching all of 2024. Revenue in the year hit US$1 billion, close to last year’s US$1.2 billion. Despite climate and market challenges, the sector remained resilient. Northeast states led October exports, with Pernambuco, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará accounting for 84.3% of revenue. Europe was the main buyer (66.4%), especially the Netherlands, followed by the UK and Spain, while the U.S. also increased purchases after tariff cuts. Experts highlight that much of the fruit comes from family farms and stress that export success requires strict quality, traceability, phytosanitary control, organization among producers, and strong crop management.
