The Port of Imbituba has solidified its role as a major economic engine for Santa Catarina, handling 5.46 million tons from January to September 2025. With 241 vessel moorings, the port moved 695.4 thousand tons in September alone. Dry bulk, driven by coke, coal, salt, and corn meal, accounted for 77.5% of the total. Exports reached 2.26 million tons and imports reached 2.45 million, while cabotage and transshipment grew by 7.49% and 141.2%, respectively. The state government credits efficient management and investments in dredging and digitalization for this performance. On track to surpass 7 million tons and USD 1.26 billion in foreign trade for the full year, the port is reinforcing its role in job creation, regional development, and the national logistics network.
