PORT OF SANTOS INVESTS BRL 27.4 MILLION IN RIGHT BANK PERIMETER

The Port Authority of Santos (APS) began work this Monday (20) on the Perimetral Avenue on the port’s right bank, a BRL 27.4 million investment to modernize the main cargo access corridor to Brazil’s largest port. The project, part of a broader requalification plan scheduled through December 2026, includes concrete paving, new signage, LED lighting, and lane improvements to enhance traffic flow and safety for trucks. It also involves constructing a new drainage channel to mitigate flooding. Minister Silvio Costa Filho stated the works will bring logistical gains and improve quality of life in the Baixada Santista, while APS President Anderson Pomini highlighted it as a symbol of renewed federal port investments, part of BRL 12.5 billion sector package.
