Soybean planting in Paraná has advanced rapidly following recent rains, with some regions nearing completion while others await more consistent rainfall. First-crop corn is also progressing well, with an increase in planted area driven by interest in second-crop succession. Winter crops, including barley and wheat, continue to develop despite storms, strong winds, and frosts, maintaining good productivity prospects. Other crops are progressing positively: rice fields are being prepared for pre-germinated planting; potato, onion, and cassava crops are developing well; sugarcane harvest is on schedule with good regrowth in new areas; strawberry harvesting has begun with good quality and expansion in production; tobacco seedlings are thriving post-frost; pastures have recovered but green mass remains limited, increasing herd supplementation costs. Overall, the outlook for Paraná’s agriculture remains favorable, supported by rainfall and ongoing crop management practices.
