“40 INFRASTRUCTURE AUCTIONS IN FOUR YEARS,” SAYS BRAZIL’S PORTS MINISTER

Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, told investors the government aims to complete 40 infrastructure auctions over four years, reinforcing its strategy to expand concessions and attract investment. Speaking at CEO Conference 2026, he highlighted major projects scheduled for this year, including Tecon Santos 10 — considered the largest in the country’s history — and the auction of São Sebastião Port. According to the minister, concessions have already surpassed R$30 billion under the current administration, compared with R$5 billion previously. He also emphasized record concession results and more than R$500 billion in signed contracts, stressing the need to reduce bureaucracy and strengthen the business environment to boost investment and job creation.
