The 2025-26 harvest retracted 20.24%. Ethanol production plummeted 15.39% to 3.68 billion liters, and sugar production 22.68% to 3.99 million tons. Corn ethanol production rose 27.79% to 1.08 billion liters. Ethanol sales reached 1.34 billion liters during the two weeks, representing a 5.13% decline compared to previous figures. Demand for hydrous ethanol fell by 9.69% while anhydrous ethanol sales increased by 3.94%. The drop in Total Recoverable Sugar (ATR) correlated with decreasing sugarcane quality. The CBios decarbonization credit market issued 17.56 million credits in 2025, meeting 69% of the annual target using existing or retired credits.
