According to Safras & Mercado, the commercialization of Brazil’s 2024-25 soybean harvest achieved 64% of the expected production by June 6, up from 57% in May. Despite the recent good pace, the percentage is lower than 71.8% in the same period last year and the five-year average of 76.9%. With an estimated output of 172.45 million tons, sales have already reached 110.35 million tons. For the upcoming 2025-26 crop, which has not yet been planted, 10.8% of projected production – or 19.73 million tons – has been pre-sold. This is higher than the 7.9% reported in May but remains below last year’s 14.6% for the same period and the historical average of 20.6%.
