2024-25 SOYBEAN CROP PLANTING HITS 86%, REPORTS AGRURAL

The soybean crop for 2024–25 in Brazil achieved 86% of the projected area by November 21, surpassing 80% of the previous week and 74% of the same week in 2023, according to AgRural. Except for the south of Mato Grosso do Sul and the west of Paraná, which are impacted by the decrease in rainfall, the advance is consistent. Summer corn planting in the Center-South region reached 93%, which is also higher than the 83% mark from the previous year. Farmers in São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Goiás concentrate on corn, which is developing well, however the lack of rainfall in Rio Grande do Sul threatens the reproductive phase.
