2024-25 GRAIN PRODUCTION SET FOR A 8.2% BOOST OVER LAST HARVEST

The estimated production in the 2024–25 harvest is 322.4 million tons, an 8.2% increase or 24.5 million tons greater than the volume produced in the 2023–2024 cycle. The present harvest is expected to cover 81.39 million hectares, therefore encompassing all production cycles. Over the previous season, this is a 1.45-million-hectare growth. “The rain that have lately poured help the major producing states in their cultivation. We have experienced brief dry spells in a few locations, but not enough to affect the prediction of a new record in Brazilian grain production,” stresses Edegar Pretto, CEO of CONAB (National Supply Company).
