19 MILLS KICKS OFF 2025-26 HARVEST IN EARLY MARCH

19 mills in the Center-South region handled 1.83 million tons of sugarcane in the first half of March, a drop of 17.81% from the year before. Crushing totaled 617.28 million tons, down 4.94% from the combined harvest of 2024-2025 to March 16. With 52 thousand tons generated, sugar output dropped 19.10%; ethanol’s hydrous ethanol production increased by 9.18% to reach 366 million liters. With 365.47 million liters, corn ethanol increased by 41.08%. With 1.34 billion liters sold overall, 482.36 million were anhydrous ethanol (+4.18%) and 805.60 million were hydrous ethanol (-15%). From the start of the harvest, the total ethanol consumption showed an increase of 8.91%.
