In the first week of July, Brazil exported, on average, 197.2K tons of corn, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex). The volume increased 173.3% compared to the daily average exported in June this year and was 270.7% higher than the shipped per day in July last year. In relation to daily sales, this grew 216.2% in the monthly comparison and 386.7% in the annual comparison. The increase in volume and revenue from exports was driven by higher cereal prices in the international market. In July, the average price of the ton of corn exported by Brazil was US $ 229.63, compared to US $ 198.75 per ton exported in the previous month and US $ 174.92 per ton exported in July 2018.
