According to the Department of Rural Economy’s (Deral’s) most recent Subjective Crop Forecast, grain production in Paraná is expected to reach 46.6 million tons across 10.85 million hectares in the 2022–2023 cycle. If accurate, this forecast would indicate a 37% volume increase over the harvest in 2021–2022, which reached 34.1 million tons mostly as a result of the effects of climate change. The report confirms a record-breaking soybean harvest of 22.45 million tons. The output is 80% greater than the harvest of 2021–2022, which totaled 12.45 million tons. The second corn crop prediction was lowered from 14 million to 13.8 million tons, although it is still productive.
