In Minas Gerais, the 2022/23 grain harvest is about to reach a new record. According to research by Brazil’s Supply Company (Conab), the estimate is 18.4 million tons, a growth of 9.8% compared to the 2021/22 harvest. Soybean production stands out and is expected to grow by 5.4% to 8 million tons. The production increase in the state is due to a 3.9 percent growth in planted area, which now stands at 4.2 million hectares.
