VOLUME OF SUGAR EXPORTS ON SCHEDULE SURPASSES 2 MILLION TONS

The week ended April 19 saw a total of 49 ships waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports, up from 45 the week before. Over 2.1 million tons of sugar are expected to be loaded, up from 1.949 million the week before. The port of Santos is where most of the volume, about 1.657 million tons, will be loaded (SP). Afterward, the ports of Paranaguá (PR), with 402.56 thousand tons, Maceió (AL), with a tonnage of 49.31 thousand, Recife (PE), with 19,000 tons, Sao Sebastiao (SP), with 9,300 tons, and Imbituba (SC), with 5,000 tons. The export sugar shipments contain sugar of the VHP (2.13 million tons), TBI (9.35 thousand tons), and Cristal B150 (5 thousand tons) varieties.
