VLI has begun transporting Brazil’s 2024/25 soybean crop, expected to reach a record 166 million tonnes, up 12.4% from the previous season, per Conab. Soybeans from states like Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Mato Grosso will move through VLI’s logistics network, including the Centro-Atlântica Railway (FCA) and North-South Railway (FNS). Key terminals such as Porto Nacional and Araguari connect to ports like São Luís and Santos. This integrated system supports exports to Asia, Europe, and the US. Brazil’s total grain production is also forecast to hit a record 325.7 million tonnes, driven by a 2.1% area expansion and a 7.1% yield recovery.
