Tereos closed the 2023-24 harvest this week with exceptional outcomes, having crushed 21.1 million tons of sugarcane, a 22% increase compared to the previous harvest. The sugar mix continues to be dominated by sugar, with around 67% of the total production dedicated to sugar production. During the period, they produced about 1.9 million tons of sugar, and 580 million liters of ethanol, and generated 1,500 GWh of electricity from sugarcane biomass. Tereos has achieved a milestone of certifying over 60% of the crushed sugarcane, including its sugarcane and that of its suppliers. Moreover, all its units have been certified by Bonsucro, an international certification that endorses its commitment to social and environmental sustainability in the entire production chain of the sugarcane mills.
