Brazil exported 2.975 million tons of sugar and molasses in July, 3.5% above the same month in 2022, when it shipped 2.875 million tons. The revenue was 30% above the annual comparison, with US$ 1.494 billion in the last month, against US$ 1.150 billion in July last year. The result was also above the billing in June, of R$ 1.48 billion. The advance in sugarcane crushing in the Center-South in the 2023/24 harvest (April 2023 to March 2024) may have helped to increase volumes shipped abroad.
