The Port Authority of Imbituba saw robust cargo throughput results in February, posting some 762 thousand tonnes of cargo that month, up 51% year-on-year. In February, a total of 22 vessels docked at the port, each loading an average of 34.6 thousand tonnes, indicating increased volumes per operation. Exports remained the port’s primary activity, at some 488.2 thousand tonnes, a 54% increase from January (315.3 thousand tonnes). Out of all import and export operations, the largest volumes handled included wheat, salt, petroleum coke, soybeans, corn and soy meal, and containers. With a total growth of over 15% compared to January, highlights included wheat, salt, and petroleum coke. “
