CORN EXPORTS LIKELY TO SOAR IN NOVEMBER

Brazil’s corn exports are expected to more than double in November to around 6 million tons, said the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec). The strong increase compared to the 2.74 million tons in November 2021 is mainly due to the greater corn supply in Brazil with a record harvest. From January to November, Anec projects shipments of 37.9 million tons, over 20.6 million tons for the entire 2021 (from Jan to Dec), when drought and frost affected the crop output. The high import demand from Europe, which has dealt with drought this year, is also mentioned among the factors pushing Brazilian corn shipments up.
