During the final phase of sugarcane harvesting in the Center-South region, the accumulated yields have been much higher than in the previous season (2022-2023). The regions of Araçatuba (37.8%) and São José do Rio Preto (26.9%) have seen notable improvements in yields, as reported by the Sugarcane Technology Center (CTC). The average yield of sugarcane plantations in the Center-South has increased by 20.4% from April to November, compared to the same period in the previous harvesting season, reaching 88.1 tons per hectare, 15 tons per hectare higher than the 2022-2023 index. The yield of this year’s crop grew by 11.4% in November compared to the previous season, reaching 78.6 tons per hectare.
