Amaggi, one of the largest soybean producers in Brazil, is set to open the country’s first soybean-powered biodiesel farm in March 2024. The Sete Lagoas Farm, located in Diamantino (MT), will operate all its machinery with renewable fuel produced from soybeans grown on the property. Amaggi will manufacture the biodiesel that will power the machinery at its biodiesel plant in Lucas do Rio Verde (MT). The company started testing the use of this biodiesel at its largest farm, Itamarati, in Campo Novo do Parecis (MT) in March 2022. The operation with the new biodiesel at Sete Lagoas Farm will begin after the approval of the National Agency of Oil, Gas, and Biofuels (ANP).
