VPORTS’ FIRST TARIFF ADJUSTMENT PROPOSAL APPROVED

The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) board recently approved the tariff adjustment proposal put forth by Vports, the lessee of the Ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho in Espírito Santo. The proposal made by Vports includes a significant change regarding the charging of the Vessel Traffic Management Information System (VTMIS), Director Flavia Takafashi’s vote stated, “The Concessionaire of the Ports of Vitória and Barra do Riacho (VPorts) shall establish the average price to be charged from users for the VTMIS item in Table I, which, in the present case, amounts to R$ 12,104.29. This charging should ensure equal treatment among service users, be based on a per vessel unit, and not be tied to the size of the vessel.”
