Despite a 17.4% decline in bilateral trade during the first nine months of the year, the total flow amounted to $55.5 billion, the second-highest value ever recorded for this period. Brazilian exports to the US decreased by 4.5%, reaching $26.6 billion, while industrial sales experienced a 0.7% decline. Brazilian imports of US gas and oil dropped by $10.5 billion, partially attributed to Brazil’s gas needs in the previous year. Brazil’s trade deficit with the US decreased by 80%, going from $11.5 billion to $2.3 billion.
