After completing the first stage of the paving work on the internal roads of the Port of Rio Grande, Portos RS will begin this month to complement this important structural intervention that will allow for improved mobility in the commercial public wharf. The tender for carrying out the work was won by the company Compacta Sul Pavimentação and the forecast for completion of the activities is seven months. As part of the project, the Infrastructure Board foresees the construction of 1,200 meters of drainage network, which will optimize the drainage of rainwater, and the installation of water, oil and solid particle retention tanks. The contract also includes paving, with reinforcement of the subgrade, roads and maneuvering areas, which will be added to the work already carried out and will total an area of 40,000 square meters.
