Yara celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Rio Grande Complex, which has been turned into the largest fertilizer manufacturing, mixing, and shipping facility in Latin America. The company invested BRL 2.1 billion in 2016 to increase its capacity in only seven years. Yara will attain full functioning in 2023 by providing an extra BRL 150 million, supplying inputs to various Brazilian states, and exporting to Paraguay and Argentina. Automation, a dock, unparalleled cabotage in 2022, and various forms of transportation are all part of the makeover. Also, Yara is committed to social responsibility and has imprinted “Dial 100” on its packaging to oppose child exploitation and slave labor.
