PETROBRAS CUTS PRICES OF AVIATION KEROSENE AND GASOLINE

Petrobras announced on Thursday (28) that the average sale price of aviation fuel (QAV) will be reduced by 2.6%. The average price of aviation gasoline (GAV) will be cut by 5.7%, and the price of asphalt for distributors will be reduced 4.5%. The new prices start to take effect next Monday (1st), said the company. The state-run oil giant explained that aviation fuel prices are reset monthly in accordance with contract formula approved by the distributors. Petrobras sells aviation kerosene and gasoline imported or produced in its refineries only to distributors. “The distributors, in turn, transport and sell the product to air transport companies and other end-consumers at airports, or to resellers. Distributors and resellers are responsible for the airport’s facilities and services”, the company said. Petrobras also announced the reduction, as of Friday 29, in the average sale price of gasoline to distributors from BRL 3.86 to BRL 3.71 per liter. The drop is BRL 0.15 per liter.
