The production of ethanol has received investments at the same time that experts predict that sugarcane mills should prioritize sugar in the 2023–2024 cycle. Nova Galia mill in Parauna (GO) increased its daily production of hydrous ethanol from 1 million to 2 million liters. In turn, the daily capacity for producing anhydrous was kept at 600,000 liters. Also, Nova Galia requested an increase in storage space in January. The work is expected to be finished at the beginning of May. The outcome would be a 16.7% increase in storage capacity for the plant, from 60 million to 70 million liters.
