Brazil’s soy exports to China reached 47.9 million tonnes of soybeans to China between January and August. Out of this total, 4.4 million tonnes were shipped from the Port of São Francisco do Sul, representing 9.3% of the grains. Exports to the Asian country from the northern port of Santa Catarina grew by 52%, rising from 2.9 million tons to 4.4 million tons. In the year-to-date, the loading and unloading of products at the Port of São Francisco do Sul reached 10.8 million tons, an increase of 25% compared to the first eight months of 2022 (8.6 million tons). Exports were a standout, totaling 6.5 million tons, including 4.4 million tons of soybeans and 1.67 million tons of corn, as well as soybean oil (200,000 liters) and wood (150,000 tons).
