Brazil’s Ministry of Ports and Airports announced over R$ 4 billion in investments in Pará to enhance the country’s logistics. The projects include building 400 barges and 15 push boats to transport iron and manganese along the Paraná and Paraguay rivers, creating over 10,000 jobs. The fleet will be built at six shipyards across the country and financed by the Merchant Marine Fund. Additionally, contracts will be signed to modernize the ports of Santarém and Vila do Conde in Pará, improving operational safety. These initiatives aim to connect Brazil with other South American nations, increasing logistical efficiency and mineral transport.
