MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE PRESENTS CROP PLAN AT THE MEETING OF THE SUPERIOR COUNCIL OF AGRIBUSINESS

On Monday (22), the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, presented the 24-25 Crop Plan to the Superior Council of Agribusiness (Cosag) at Fiesp. The proposal provides BRL 400.59 billion in loan lines and funding to medium and big industries. Fávaro underlined the reduction in production costs and the 40% rise in available resources, which has increased the Crop Plan’s efficiency by 63%. A total of BRL 107.3 billion is budgeted for investments, representing a 16.5% rise, while BRL 293.29 billion is earmarked for costing and marketing, reflecting an 8% increase. The meeting provided a forum for discussion of public policies and for receiving input from the sector.
